Our recent Open Evening was a fantastic success.
Prospective students attended with their parents and carers and were welcomed by our School Band.
The Hall was standing room only as Mr Cowen addressed the audience.
Our Head Boy, Matthew Young and Head Girl, Beth Gatenby presented on behalf of the Student Council and their enthusiasm and dedication to the school was apparent.
Everyone had the opportunity to see the whole school in action, with science experiments, art exhibitions, history presentations and much more.
Thank you to all parents, students and staff who attended.
Biddick is a popular and oversubscribed Academy, mainly serving the south of Washington, with around 1100 students on roll. We make a commitment to staffing and as a result we have one of the lowest teacher pupil ratios in the area.
Most of our students have English as a first language; the number of pupils with learning disabilities and the proportion entitled to free school meals are below average.
